GSI-LED-1
General Signal’s 12-inch L.E.D. Highway Crossing Light utilizes a sealed head light designed to make retrofitting units as easy as replacing a lens. Quick fit into any light head; hence, the Light Keeper can be specified for any manufacturer’s unit for new installation.
GSI-LED-1 PDFFeatures:
- 255 Ultra brite L.E.D.s connected by 85 individual circuits of 3. Failure of 1 individual L.E.D. would never allow more than 3 L.E.D.s to fail.
- 1100 candelas on Axis @ 10 volts (specification calls for 160).
Beam Pattern: 85%@±5∞ (934 candelas) 40%@±10∞ (440 candelas) 10%@±15∞ (165 candelas). - Automatic self alignment.
- Surge protected to 1500 W 24.0 V max. Resistors are of a heat sink design for heat dissipation.
- Estimated life of L.E.D.s is 100,000 hours of actual lighted time. Distinct side lights using 3 L.E.D.s on each side.
- Provides immediate and long term energy and maintenance savings.
Technical Data:
- Current – Draws 1.8 Amps nominal current at 10 volts nominal D.C.
- Voltage – Operates from 8 to 16 volts D.C. or 8 to 11 volts A.C. Exceeds AAR 3.2.37.
- Gaskets – Bonding U channel gasket is manufactured from a non-out gassing E.P.D.M. rubber material. All gaskets are in accordance with AAR 15.2.10.
- Chromaticity – Color and chromaticity measurements are in accordance with AAR 7.1.10. (Both the L.E.D.s and the lens are of this color).
- Circuitry – The 255 L.E.D.s are connected in 85 separate circuits of 3 each. This limits the maximum light outage to 3 L.E.D.s if one should ever fail.
- Wire – The unit utilizes 18 gauge 105 C AWG copper wires with ring connectors.
- Beam Pattern – The unit measures 1100 candelas of light output on Axis and follows the disbursement curve below at distance of 50 feet. Exceeds AAR 3.2.37.
- Lens – The lens is manufactured out of high impact resistant UV protected polycarbonate material and its color satisfies chromaticity and color specifications per AAR 7.1.10. Lens enhances contrast and clarity in sunlight.
